Mosques in Phuket: Here’s Where to Pray

Most people may not know this, but about 20% of Phuket’s population comprises of Muslims! Thanks to the large proportion of Muslims, plenty of mosques are dotted all around the island. It’s no wonder this beach paradise is a hit with many Muslim travellers.

While basking in the sunshine on one of Phuket’s idyllic beaches or enjoying the warm crystal-clear waters, don’t forget to fulfil your prayers at one of these mosques:

Patong is definitely where all the action in Phuket is concentrated at. In the morning, head to Patong Beach for a full day’s worth of fun; engage in water sports or relax by having a Thai massage. After sunset, it’s time to whip your Bhat out and shop till you drop at Bangla Road or Patong OTOP Shopping Paradise complex.

Southern Phuket is less frequented by tourists and holds some of the island’s best-kept secrets! You can soak in the best views Rawai has to offer at Promthep Cape and Rawai Beach. Rawai’s location also makes it convenient for you to go island hopping to fantastic places such as Phi Phi.

While Rawai is totally zen, you can let your adventurous side out in Wichit. If zip-lining is totally up your alley, go on a forest adventure at Tarzan Adventure Phuket or Hanuman World! You can also explore the myriad of creeks, rivers and hidden bays on a sailing adventure to Wichit’s surrounding islands.
