Head on to someplace new to taste something unfamiliar and fall in love! There is so many new places to explore, why not start with these?

If you’ve ever wished you could soar through the skies like on a roller coaster — minus the long queues at theme parks — there’s a new attraction just outside Kuala Lumpur that lets you do exactly that. Meet Skyline Hyfly, the latest adrenaline-pumping experience at Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur in Gamuda Gardens, Rawang.
As someone who loves thrill rides but still enjoys being surrounded by nature (and finding halal food nearby!), this experience was an absolute must-try.

Skyline Hyfly isn’t your typical zipline — it’s Asia’s first cable-to-rail zipline system, which means you don’t just glide in a straight line. Instead, you’ll twist, turn, and swing mid-air as if you’re on a mini roller coaster.
The entire track stretches 380 metres long, letting you glide at speeds of up to 60km/h, with the cool breeze rushing past your face and panoramic views of Gamuda Gardens’ lush greenery below.
For Muslim travellers craving an exciting yet scenic day trip near KL, this attraction is a refreshing alternative to your usual weekend hangout.
As soon as I got strapped into the safety harness, I could already feel my heart racing (and maybe a little dua or two whispered under my breath 😅). The moment the launch began, I felt like I was flying — the track curved, dipped, and twisted unexpectedly, giving that fun roller coaster vibe but without the stomach-churning drops.
What makes it even better? The dual zipline system lets you and your friend ride side by side! Whether it’s your spouse, sibling, or travel buddy, you can scream (or laugh) together as you soar through the sky.
Once you reach the end of the line, there’s a surprise waiting — you get to choose how to descend:
Option 1: Take a daring 15-metre freefall jump under professional supervision (I didn’t think I’d do it, but it’s surprisingly safe and exhilarating).
Option 2: Or, simply walk down the staircase if you’d rather keep your feet steady on the ground.
Skyline Hyfly is suitable for almost everyone — whether you’re an adventure-loving teen, a couple, or a group of friends looking for something new.
Here are the main guidelines:
Minimum weight: 30kg
Maximum weight: 140kg
Riders between 30–39kg must pair up (combined weight below 140kg)
For the freefall jump, weight must be between 40–120kg
Do note that this activity isn’t suitable for pregnant women, those with heart or back problems, or anyone on certain medications.
Skyline Hyfly Single Ride: RM90
Add-on Ride: RM50
Combo Packages (Zipline + 3–5 Luge Rides): From RM110
You can book your tickets directly via the Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur website
. Buying online helps you skip the queue — and trust me, once you’re there, you’ll want to jump straight into the action.
If you’re planning a day trip here, you’ll be glad to know Gamuda Gardens is home to several halal eateries. Some local favourites include:
Burger & Lobster Gamuda Gardens – yes, it’s halal-certified!
Teh Tarik Place – for hearty Malaysian meals and teh tarik fix.
Sushi King – a halal-certified sushi option within the retail area.
For prayer facilities, there’s a surau within the Gamuda Gardens township itself, near the retail hub — so you can easily perform your prayers before or after your zipline adventure.
Location: Skyline Luge Kuala Lumpur, Jalan Gamuda Luge Gardens, Rawang, Selangor
Opening hours:
Thursday–Tuesday: 10am – 10pm
(Closed on Wednesdays)
It’s about a 30-minute drive from central Kuala Lumpur, depending on traffic. If you’re taking public transport, the nearest KTM station is Kuang Station, followed by a short Grab ride to Gamuda Gardens.

If you’re looking for a halal-friendly adventure that combines nature, adrenaline, and convenience, Skyline Hyfly ticks all the boxes. It’s perfect for a short weekend escape, a date idea, or even a fun outing with friends.
The ride itself is thrilling without being too extreme — you’ll feel the rush of flight, the joy of the view, and maybe even a renewed sense of awe at Allah’s creation as you soar above the trees. 🌿
So the next time you’re craving something new around KL, skip the malls — and fly through the skies at Skyline Hyfly instead.
