Kueh Appreciation Day 2019: Savour Singapore’s Finest Delicacies

As part of Singapore’s Food Festival 2019, Muslim foodies should head down to the Kueh Appreciation Day on Sunday, 28 July 2019. From 10am to 4pm, you can expect a plethora of tantalising delicacies. Moreover, there will be a display of some of Singapore’s finest kueh, both sweet and savoury, crafted by local artisans.

New halal vendors this year

The new halal vendors for this year’s festivities are Deli Maslina and Julie Bakes. Muslim foodies will be spoilt for choice as Deli Maslina boasts an assortment of traditional kueh, snacks and cookies. From the must-have kuih jongkong to the savoury deliciousness of epok-epok, it’ll be impossible to leave here hungry.

On the other hand, Julie Bakes is serving up delectable fusion flavoured desserts with ondeh-ondeh cake and ondeh-ondeh tarts being the crowd favourites. What started out as a home-based business has now blossomed and found its home at Baghdad Street.

Fret not, there are still plenty of traditional goodies for you to try. Based on her mother’s heritage recipes, there is no wonder why her popular kueh-flavoured cakes and daily specials like the kuih talam fly off the shelves.
