Musollahs in Singapore Near Tourist Attractions

With many world-class attractions and new events popping up, it doesn’t matter if you’re a local or tourist, we love going to touristy spots in Singapore. Ever looked at your watch and got startled that it is already time to perform your prayers?

Most mosques might be hard to locate especially since they are far from most tourist attractions. Fret not, we’ve got you covered! Here is a list ofmusollahs near touristy areas such as Marina Bay, Raffles Place, City Hall and Orchard Road.

Marina Bay

Thanks to the success of the film, Crazy Rich Asians, Marina Bay is definitely one of the top tourist spots in Singapore. Travellers will recognize the iconic Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. Marina Bay is also home to other architectural beauties such as the ArtScience Museum and the Esplanade. From time to time, Marina Bay stages large scale events such as iLight Singapore and the Singapore Grand Prix.

1. Marina One

Nearest MRT Station: Downtown

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu facilities are available in the musollah.

Directions: Take the lift or escalator at East Tower to basement two. Look out for Myeongdong Hair Studio and keep walking straight towards Nail Bliss. Continue heading straight until the musollah sign is in sight.

2. Marina Square

Nearest MRT Stations: Esplanade or Promenade

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Open-air wudhu facilities available outside the musollah. For privacy, muslimahs can perform their wudhu in the toilet at level one. Slippers are provided.

Directions: The musollah is located at the green zone area carpark on basement one. Look out for Qiji or The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and take the escalator to the basement level. Look for parking lot 67 and the musollah should be in sight.

3. Millenia Walk

Nearest MRT Stations: Esplanade or Promenade

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Open air wudhu facilities available outside the musollah. For privacy, muslimahs can perform their wudhu in the mall’s toilet. Slippers are provided.

Directions: The musollah is located at the carpark on basement one. Take the lift down from the main lobby and exit the door towards carpark. Alternatively, take the stairs down outside Mex Out. Head towards the end of the carpark and look out for parking lot 27. The musollah should be in sight.

4. Suntec City

Nearest MRT Stations: Esplanade or Promenade

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu can be performed in the nearby toilets. Slippers are provided.  

Directions: The musollah is located on Level 3, East Atrium. Walk into the corridor beside Singpost. The musollah is at the end of the corridor near the lifts.

5. Singapore Flyer

Nearest MRT Station: Promenade

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu can be performed in the nearby toilets. Slippers are provided.  

Directions: The musollah is located at West Promenade on level one, opposite the DBS ATM/AXS machines. Approach the staff at the Guest Services Lounge on level one to use the prayer room.

City Hall, Raffles Place & Clarke Quay Area

Singapore’s historical landmarks such as the Raffles Hotel, St Andrew’s Cathedral, Fort Canning and CHIJMES are situated in City Hall and Raffles Place. If you love museums, you will love the wide array of museums housed in this area such as National Gallery Singapore, National Museum Singapore, Asian Civilisation Museum and Singapore Art Museum.

Just a few minutes walk from the Civic District is Clarke Quay. It is best known for its river taxis, waterfront dining, late-night entertainment and historic bridges, such as Alkaff Bridge and Read Bridge.

6. The Adelphi

Directions: Enter the exit door at Staircase 2, next to “Robo Robo” toy store. Enter another door and walk straight. The musollah is located under the staircase.  

7. Peninsula Shopping Centre

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu can be performed in the nearby toilets. Slippers are provided.  

Directions: Enter the exit door near “Mega Age Traders” toy store. The musollah is located on the right.

8. Raffles City Shopping Centre

Address: 252 North Bridge Rd, Singapore 179103
Nearest MRT Station: City Hall

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu can be performed in the nearby toilets. Slippers are provided.  

Directions: Look out for a women’s clothing store, “Warehouse”. Walk into the corridor beside it towards Asian Market Cafe. The musollah for muslimin is to the right, while the musollah for muslimah is to the left.

Singapore Botanic Gardens

This 60-acre garden is Singapore’s first UNESCO World Heritage site. Here you can find peace and tranquility in unique sites such as the National Orchid Garden, bonsai gardens and eco-lake.

Hungry after walking around the vast garden? Satisfy your hunger at “The Halia”, a halal restaurant aptly located in the Ginger Garden (halia is Malay for ginger). The restaurant prides itself on its delicious modern European dishes fused with Singaporean influences, wonderful ambience and excellent service.

12. The Halia

Singapore Zoo

Designed to be an “open-concept” zoo, get up close to over 300 species of animals at the Singapore Zoo, such as the white tigers, orangutans and giraffes. You can also learn more about these amazing animals during live shows, such as Splash Safari and Elephant Presentation, held twice daily.

Another highlight of the Singapore Zoo is Rainforest Kidzworld, a place specially for the curious little ones. Kids can engage in activities such as interacting with rabbits and guinea pigs at the Buddy Barn or go on a pony ride. Don’t forget to drop by the Night Safari and River Safari as well when you are in the Mandai area.

13. Zoo’s First Aid Station

Directions: Musollah is located at the entrance of the Singapore Zoo, near the ticketing counter. Approach the staff to use the musollah.

Orchard Road

Orchard Road is well known as a shopper’s paradise. With over 20 shopping malls and six department stores, it definitely lives up to its name. From high street stores in ION Orchard to affordable streetwear in Far East Plaza, there is something for everyone at Orchard Road.

14. Royal Plaza On Scotts Singapore

Directions: Musollah is located on the second floor. In the lobby, take the staircase on the right, turn right and walk straight.  

15. Grand Hyatt Singapore

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu area is located just beside the musollah.

Directions: Musollah is located on the carpark’s first floor (Terrace Wing). Walk through the hallway beside Straits Kitchen. Continue walking past the lift lobby and through the sliding glass doors of the carpark. Musollah will be to the right.

16. Wisma Atria Shopping Centre  

Address: 435 Orchard Rd, Singapore 238877
Nearest MRT Station: Orchard

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. A small sink is available outside the musollah to perform wudhu.

Directions: Musollah is at a staircase located on the seventh floor. Take Service Lift 9, near Isetan, to level seven carpark. Turn left and walk to the end of the carpark, towards parking lot 119 and 120.

17. Lucky Plaza

Nearest MRT Station: Orchard

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu can be performed in the nearby toilets.

Directions: Musollah is on the eighth floor. Take cargo lift near the security office. Turn left and walk to the end of the carpark, towards parking lot 434 and 435. The musollah beside it.

18. Takashimaya Shopping Centre/Ngee Ann City

Nearest MRT Station: Orchard or Somerset

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. A small sink is available outside the musollah to perform wudhu. Wudhu can be performed in the nearby toilets.

Directions: Musollah is located on basement one. Look out for the public toilet and staff reporting entrance. Walk straight to the washing bay after the toilet. The musollah is a small room that states “store”.

Arab Street, Kampung Glam & Bugis

After Chinatown and Little India, don’t forget to visit Kampung Glam, the Malay-Muslim quarter of Singapore. Learn more about the Malay culture at the Malay Heritage Centre and get lost in the colourful streets, such as Haji Lane, Arab Street and Bussorah Street, filled with hipster cafes and shops selling traditional items.

Only a stone’s throw away from Kampung Glam, Bugis is a bustling shopping area for bargain hunters. Venture into narrow corridors of Bugis Street to find affordable clothing and souvenirs. There are also shopping malls nearby such as Bugis+ and Bugis Junction to supplement your shopping addiction.

19. DUO Galleria

Directions: Musollah is located on the first level. From Bugis MRT Station exit E/F, turn right towards SaladStop and walk straight. Turn left into the corridor with with the toilet and musollah signs.

Chinatown

The vibrant Chinatown is not to be missed when in Singapore. Learn about the Chinese culture at the Chinese Heritage Centre and chow down some delicious food at the Chinatown Street Market.

If you’re lucky to be in Singapore during Chinese New Year, be sure to catch the street light-up along Eu Tong Sen Street, New Bridge Road, South Bridge Road and Garden Bridge. The light-up will feature sculptured lanterns of the zodiac animal of the year.

22. Furama City Centre

Little India

Little India is a treat for all the senses. Have a taste of delectable Indian food at Tekka Market, see the colourfully painted House of Tan Teng Niah and take in the smells of herbs and spices at Serangoon Road.

Need something in the middle of the night? Mustafa Centre is the place to go. It is open 24 hours daily and sells everything and anything, from branded perfumes to international snacks, you need at affordable prices.

23. LASALLE College of the Arts

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. For muslimin, wudhu facilities available in the musollah. For muslimahs, wudhu can be performed at the sink near the service lifts or in the toilets on level one.

Directions: Musollah is located at the basement carpark. Take the lift down to the basement. For muslimin, head towards the right corner of the carpark. For muslimah, head towards the left corner, near motorcycle parking lots. The muslimah musollah is behind the curtains.

24. Abdul Gafoor Mosque

25. Angullia Mosque

Nearest MRT Station: Farrer Park

Note: The mosque is currently undergoing redevelopment works.

26. Musollah in Place of Angullia Mosque   

A musollah space is set up next to the mosque for walk-in donations that goes towards the mosque’s redevelopment works. However, the musollah is available for Zohor and Asar prayers only.

Directions: To get there from Farrer Park MRT Station, use Exit F, turn right and walk towards Roberts Lane. The musollah is at the junction with Serangoon Road.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 9am to 6pm | Saturday: 9am to 1pm | Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays

Sentosa

Sentosa is an island resort packed with the Singapore’s best. Sentosa is home to world-class attractions such as Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. Enjoy pristine beaches on the island such as Siloso Beach. Also, don’t forget to visit the largest Merlion in Singapore near Imbiah Station.

27. Beach Station  

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu can be performed at the nearby water point to the right of the musollah.

Directions: The musollah is located at the yellow zone area carpark on basement one. Take the escalator opposite the information counter to the basement carpark. Turn right and the musollah would be in sight.

28. Kidzania Sentosa

Address: 31 Beach View, #01-01/02, Singapore 098008

Amenities: Sejadah and telekung are provided. Wudhu facilities are available in the musollah.

Directions: Musollah is located on the second level. Look out for the “LifeBuoy” establishment. There will be a sign indicating the direction of the toilets and musollah. The musollah is located opposite the toilet.

29. Universal Studios Singapore  

Address: 8 Sentosa Gateway, Singapore 098269

Amenities: Sejadah and limited telekung are provided. Wudhu facilities are available in the musollah.

Directions: The musollah is located beside Battlestar Galactica. It is indicated by a green lamp post. Turn right and continue walking past the lockers. The musollah is in the small building.

With plenty of musollahs in touristy areas, you don’t need to worry about finding a clean and comfortable place to perform your prayers. Now, go forth and explore the Lion City to your heart’s content.
